Displays seldom leave the factory optimally calibrated for home use: most of the TVs in showrooms are set to the highest contrast and most lurid colors in order to attract the customer’s attention. Displaying true colors and contrasts is left totally out of consideration.
Datacolor has set itself the goal of ensuring that the colors and contrasts in every digital video system meet industry standards – the result being the certainty of receiving images that look absolutely real and true to life. The process required to achieve this is called CALIBRATION.
Home cinema users want to experience movies as they were produced in the post-production studio. However, a standard display can only achieve this if it has been properly calibrated. As a rule, the image signals in home cinema systems originate from DVD/HD DVD or BD players on which it is impossible to store or load new profiles. This means the calibration cannot be done automatically, but requires a trained expert with the relevant know-how.
Datacolor offers all the equipment required to calibrate home cinema systems. And to transfer its “calibration know-how” Datacolor has entered into collaborations with companies who cooperate with post-production studios, including post-production houses in hollywood.
A company that has made it its mission to provide high-quality consultancy to manufacturers and dealers of audiovisual communication products: MGR International.
The calibration courses will be held by MGR and they are designed to help dealers to identify product quality before they expand their product range and to define the optimum settings for the devices they supply.
The collaboration offers everything from a single source: equipment and software user training.
We are currently planning the next trainings. Please contact us if you want to get more information about the next training: info@datacolor.eu
